T2, Twinings take out top spots as best teas in Australian offices ranked

There is nothing like a bold ranking of snacks or drink brands to create a stir among the office.

Would you agree T2 is the superior tea brand, followed closely by Twinings? If not, you might have a problem with this list.

Popular Instagram account, The Aussie Corporate has ranked the best tea brands based on more than 1600 of its followers’ responses.

While Melbourne-born T2 (now owned by Luxembourg-based CVC Capital) and Twinings took out first and second place, Dilmah was ranked third and Pukka fourth.

Lipton was chosen as the fifth best office brew, while Tetley came in sixth and the iconic Australian Bushells finished off the ranking.

As can be expected, the list didn’t go down well with all passionate office tea drinkers.

There was plenty of support for NSW-based Madura Tea, which Aussies claimed was “robbed” of a top spot, and Yorkshire, the most popular traditional black tea brand sold in the UK.

“It is a travesty that Madura is not at the top of the list,” wrote one person.

“I randomly discovered Madura and it’s a gamechanger,” said another fan.

“Yorkshire is the way to go for those that really want a good, strong cuppa,” explained one connoisseur.

“Yorkshire is the GOAT,” added another matter-of-factly.

T2’s placement at the top of the list was quite controversial, but most corporate workers just wanted to know which offices were stocking the brand.

According to the survey, consultancy firm KPMG was supplying it for some staff and one employee savagely said it was “the only thing worth coming into the office for”.

“Sighs in public servant who has to supply her own damn tea,” one Aussie commented.

“We don’t even get milk anymore let alone tea,” said another.

“OK but what tea is being provided by the company is another question – we get English breakfast and peppermint but apparently requesting earl grey was a step too far,” offered up one disappointed office worker.

“Some only have black tea – not even English breakfast. It should be a crime to not have peppermint as an option,” agreed another.

The Aussie Corporate previously ranked Australia’s puffer jackets.

Patagonia was determined the most iconic and original puffer jacket.

Canada Goose, Moncler, and Brunello Cucinelli were all dubbed second-best on the luxury tier.
