Perron Thurston Death - A Beloved Father, Husband and Friend Lost Too Soon

Later in life, Thurston picked up ice hockey at the age of 40. He embraced his new hobby wholeheartedly, playing recreational league games around the neighborhood. He also founded the popular Crosstown Classic bicycle ride and participated in numerous local Critical Mass events over the years.
Thurston was dedicated to giving back to causes close to his heart. He proudly supported organizations like The Base Chicago, Equiticity, Friends of the Big Marsh, and the Inner-City Education Program. Through his career and volunteer work, he acted as a mentor, teacher and friend to many.
His sudden passing has left a Perron Thurston-sized hole in the lives of all who knew him. While he may be gone, his legacy of positivity, service and community building will live on.
