First home …

“When we met 22 years ago, I had acres in Rolland’s Planes,” Tom says.

“When I met Wayne we all used to sleep in the one room.

“Needless to say we then moved into an apartment in Port Macquarie — it had three bedrooms. It was a 1970s dark brown brick building: mid-century modern with beautiful windows that looked out over the rivers.”

Current home …

“We’re doing the tree change and moving to a place between Bendigo and Seymour, it’s been a dream we’ve had for a while,” Wayne says.

“The inside has been done up already, it has a beautiful kitchen and a big pantry,” Tom says.

“It’s been someone’s holiday house and has 16 acres (6.5ha) that run to a creek.”

Dream home …

“An old chateau in Paris with a moat,” Tom says.

“I sit on the couch on a Sunday and google French chateaus.

“(Paris) is where Wayne proposed to me eight years ago. It’s the first time I’ve ever shut up.”
